Diana Ross: Restrospective Of A True Diva!

Ms. Ross, Diana, The Boss or just Diva, make no mistake, Berry Gordy, founder of Motown Records, knew exactly what he was doing when he chose Diana to lead the Supremes.  Her iconic look, poise, class, and style have inspired a generation.  Everyone wanted to be her. The Supremes ruled the charts and their sound, to this day, has not been duplicated.

I thought I’d pay a tribute to her today.

Like it or not, Diana Ross is The One and Only It Girl!  Still hip.

Even though I like Diana Ross, my favorite member of the Supremes was the late Florence Ballard. She was a fine good looking sista, it is sad that she passed away so young back in 1976. So we will agree to disagree TruthAngel, Diana is cool but Florence rocks!

  8. Ms. Ross is my first celeb crush and Lady Sings The Blues was the first movie I saw in the theater. My parents didn’t have a babysitter, and they smuggled me in. I was traumatized seeing Richard Pryor’s character get beat down. I can still see it now.

Thank you for the post Missy.

      • My Thankstaking was nonexistence, I can’t in good faith celebrate holidays anymore. To me that’s like accepting what America is doing to people all over the world and I don’t. I really don’t understand why any person of color would partake in the spending of money during any holiday. But that’s strictly me and I ain’t knocking no one cause I used to it with the best myself.

What a beautiful woman! Now that was a true, beautiful and talented Black woman. We need more divas like her in the media, not trying to knock Beyoncé down though.
