Hi,
I found your profile through a girl by the name of KenyaDoll who commented negatively about Lipstick Alley on her Tumblr and she posted the link to your site saying you had been waived on that scum of a site. There was another user by the name of Valentina who I really liked who had also been waived. Well, the reason I’m contacting you is because I’m starting a petition trying to get that site shut down in the near future. It is way too much and the way the women slander and embarrass each other and then preach black unity is crazy to me. Even a couple of celebrities from GA that I talked to said they don’t even go on that site anymore because of the constant negativity. It makes no sense for a site like that to exist so so far I have 8 signatures but people are signing everyday and spreading the news on this petition. One of the celebrities from Georgia that I chatted with even retweeted the petition on her Twitter. If you’d like, could you support and sign as well and pass it along to others whom you feel may be interested in putting an end to that site? Thanks so much. Beautiful blog you have here by the way.

Yes. I was a member of LA for a few years, but it became very negative around 2012/13 or so. I was trolled by one of the moderators (can’t recall her name) but it got to the point where I was initially banned from the site. It seemed as though anyone with strong Black identity or knowledge of Black culture, was seen as the enemy.
It’s believed that there is a white owner of the site now and is provoking a lot of the attacks.
I’ll sign the petition, but believe me, I don’t miss the site.
As you can see, I’ve grown and moved on.
